Overview of the Tier Ranking System
Supervive’s hunter tier system is a structured evaluation designed to rank the performance and efficiency of hunters in gameplay. The system categorizes hunters into three main tiers:
Tier A: These are the top-tier performers with superior abilities and the most impactful gameplay mechanics. Hunters in this tier are usually overpowered and excel in most scenarios.
Tier B: Mid-range options that are solid and reliable. These hunters offer a balanced mix of strength and utility, making them versatile but not as dominant as tier A.
Tier C: Situational picks that have specialized roles. While they may not excel in all scenarios, they can be exceptionally useful in specific situations if used correctly.
Importance of Choosing the Right Hunter for Different Playstyles
Selecting the right hunter is crucial to maximize your effectiveness in Supervive. Here’s why:
Playstyles: Different hunters cater to diverse playstyles. Aggressive players might prefer high-damage hunters from Tier A, while tactical players might opt for versatile hunters from Tier B.
Team Composition: A well-rounded team needs a mix of abilities. Integrating hunters from different tiers ensures that your team can handle various scenarios and threats.
Map and Mode: Certain hunters perform better on specific maps or game modes. Understanding which hunter to choose based on the environment can substantially affect your winning chances.
How the Tier List was Compiled Using Expert Reviews and Player Statistics
Creating the tier list was a thorough process involving both qualitative and quantitative analysis. Here’s an overview of how it was done:
Expert Reviews: Input was gathered from top players and experts in the community. Their insights on hunter abilities, strengths, and weaknesses were invaluable.
Player Statistics: Extensive gameplay data, including win rates, pick rates, and performance metrics in various scenarios, was analyzed. This data helped identify trends and performance levels that might not be immediately apparent through subjective reviews alone.
Meta Analysis: The current game meta was examined to see how well different hunters fit into the prevailing strategies and compositions. Hunters that synergize well with the meta are generally ranked higher.
Game Statistics: Websites utilizing overall win rates, pick rates, and ease of use in different ELOs was used. Websites such as supervive.io, and others.
Understanding Supervive’s hunter tier system and how it was compiled can greatly enhance your gameplay strategy. By choosing the right hunter for your playstyle and staying informed about the latest updates, you can maintain a competitive edge in the game.
Tier A Hunters: Top-Tier Performers
Detailed Analysis of A-tier Hunters and Their Unique Abilities
Tier A hunters in Supervive are the crème de la crème, showcasing exceptional capabilities that make them indispensable in high-stakes gameplay. These hunters have unique abilities that set them apart, often turning the tide of battle in their favor.
These hunters are designed to excel in both solo and team scenarios, adapting seamlessly to various gameplay styles.
Key Strategies and Optimal Gameplay Techniques for A-tier Hunters
To make the most out of A-tier hunters, players need to utilize their unique abilities strategically.
Brall: His ability to flank and completely overwhelm enemy DPS is unparralell. He’s also sticky; with a total of 3 dashes and a hook, making it easier to chase down hunters who turn and run. When paired with other engage hunters, he becomes even more unstoppable, such as Felix or Oath.
Oath: His ability to absorb and contain enemy hunters is next to none. He boasts a stun with his left click, damage absorption with his right click, a heal with his Q and his ult can hold down enemy teams or stop engages in their tracks. He’s extremely powerful in one-shot comps, where the goal is to dive in and route the enemy team immediately (think comps such as Oath, Zeph, Felix and your favorite bursty DPS).
Joule: Absolutely devastating in the current meta, her mobility and damage output is next to none. She has the second highest win rate, just behind Brall (although she has almost double his pick rate) making her a staple choice in almost all team comps.
Developing an understanding of these strategies will help you dominate the battlefield, irrespective of the game mode you’re engaged in.
Tier B Hunters: Solid Mid-Range Options
Overview of B-tier Hunters and Their Unique Skillsets
Tier B hunters in Supervive offer a balanced blend of offense and defense, providing a solid foundation for any team. These Hunters are viable, but there are often better, A-Tier Hunters who provide a better overall fit.
Effective Strategies and Techniques for B-tier Hunters
To maximize the potential of B-tier hunters, players must grasp their unique strengths and weaknesses, and know how to play around them.
Shrike: Sees the highest pick rate of any hunter, however, her lack of mobility makes her extremely easy to burst and chase down. Higher ELO players who know how to exploit her weakness tend to have an easy time fighting her. Her low rate of fire means you need to consistently hit auto attacks to be useful, otherwise your DPS ends up lacking. Her DPS, when played correctly and your team mates keep enemies off you, can shine and burst down other teams in just a few hits.
Ghost: Ghost has shorter range, and you need to pick your engages. His Ultimate can shred enemies if they are ccd or stuck on top of it. He also has decent poke with his Q and R-click. However, there are just better DPS picks that fit his role, with better utility and mobility, such as Joule. Although, he is still viable in the right team compositions.
Tier C Hunters: Situational Picks
These hunters excel in niche roles, taking advantage of their specialized skillsets to turn the tide of battle when used strategically.
Analysis of C-tier Hunters and Their Niche Roles
Tier C hunters are often outshined by their B and A counterparts, leaving very niche roles or less of a focus on their use. Let’s dive into a few examples:
Void: Void has tremendous utility and outplay potential, it is just most players are not very good with him. As we see more people practice void, I think he will rise and take a higher place in the rankings. His win rate sits at an abysmal 3.67%, making him the second-lowest win rate of any Hunter.
Bishop: Bishop fits a specific niche, allowing her to dive enemy backlines almost instantaneously. The issue lies in team mates not following her engage, and Bishop being bursted down before any follow up can support her. I think at higher ranks, she has a place as high ranked players know how to play to her strengths (which is engaging). She also has a place in melee compositions, but lacks the right tools to play in ranged heavy comps, such as those utilizing Shrike.
An Example A-Tier Meta Team Composition
A-tier hunters shine brightest when accompanied by complementary team compositions. It’s important to consider how their abilities mesh with other team members to form a cohesive unit. An example comp is below:
Oath: Follows Felix’s engage and drops his ult to keep enemy hunters in place, and allowing DPS to follow up. He also allows Felix to continue dishing damage after his ult brings him in.
Felix: Opens engages with his ult, aiming for the backline. Oath follows up, along with other DPS.
Zeph: Uses his AoE control (Q) to stun enemy in place, allowing DPS to further burst. Can then follow up with team as needed
Brall: Dives in using dashes to follow the Felix & Oath engage. Make sure to hit Q on your priority target incase they have dashes to get away. Simple combo (Q’s and R as needed) to completely obliterate backline, and mop up from there.
Optimal scenarios for these hunters are focused around a team oriented engage. Success in these modes often depends on strategic placement, communication, and the ability to adapt on the fly.
Mastering these top-tier performers requires practice and teamwork, but the payoff is substantial. With the right strategies and compositions, A-tier hunters can lead your team to victory consistently.
